Gourmet & Wellness + +

Breakfast at Leonowens Club come with an a la carte menu complemented by a modest buffet spread. Steaks and eggs with the hotel's own prized brews are quite winsome. The progressive Asian fares at Nimitr did not compel us to give up the more traditional grubs from the street level but the view and ambiance up there is indeed impressive. Nitra spa is a small but comfortable space that aims to incorporate technology with wellness therapies.

Service + + +

Our personal butler was one of the most earnest and effective we've crossed in Bangkok. Kudos to him for seeing to all our essential, and sometimes extreme, needs. Pool service however needs to be more rigorously enhanced and we do wish Leonowens Club would honour a proper cocktail hour like all executive club lounges do.

Design + + +

The 34 suites named after the 4 Thai kingdoms are all swankily modern with oversized bathtubs and zigzag carpets. Beddings are soft as clouds with sky views from bed that are quite simply enchanting. The stunning private pool at the crown of the building is the one luxury that is gratifyingly reserved for suite guests only.
