Salathip tops our Top Thai Fine Dining Restaurant List with its regal ambience, exceptional service and excellent gourmet fares. Another top dining option at this property is dinner aboard its river cruise that serves a scrumptious buffet spread as it sails down the Chao Phraya past sights such as Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. Shang Palace still dishes out impressive Cantonese classics within a gorgeous dining hall. The Chi Spa, with its 3 hours 'A Journey Together' retreat package, is ultimate bliss delivered with finesse.
The Horizon Club at this property is an outstanding flag-bearer for the service excellence the chain has built its branding and image on. The culinary presentations here are generous and palatable and extends to all hours of the day. The staff are helpful and efficient, with very genteel touches that border on royal service.
Not young, as most of the riverside hotels aren't, but has remained true to the design blueprint of a Shangri-la hotel built from the 80 to 90s. Rooms are well maintained with classical Thai accents. Views of the river are still stupendous.
