With such dedicated attentiveness from the butlers one is tempted to stay in with room service all day but that would be a waste as afternoon tea and nightcaps at The Drawing Room/St Regis Bar and Italian cuisine at Jojo are all excellent culinary indulgences here. Elemis Spa, wonderfully modern and excellently installed with hydro-relaxation facilities that includes a Rasul room and computerised shower pods, is #1 on our Top Spa List, beating out heavyweight contenders like the Peninsula and Oriental Spas.
One cannot ask for more with the anticipatory attentiveness of the floor butlers who see to the needs of all in-house guests, from tea and coffee making to arranging the bath and all manners of other requests like dining recommendations and reservations at the city's most impossible restaurants.
Classical St Regis elements are well represented here - think big, think modern with earth tones all round. Most of the rooms come with views but the most in demand are those with windows facing the golf greens.
