Decidedly striking Chihuly pieces juxtapose against cyclopean chandeliers to equalise the contemporary-classical divide and set into place a luxury establishment that adroitly caters to new and old clienteles.
Cantonese fine diner Yan Ting dishes out delectable roasts and scrumptious dim sums, our favourite being the char siew bun. We love afternoon tea at the elegant tea parlour and adore cocktails at the St Regis Bar for its jazzy decor and sophisticated ambience. Pampering moments at Iridium Spa extends from fabulous massages in plush treatment rooms to restorative soaks in the jacuzzi pool.
The housekeeping and spa team provide friendly and thoughtful service which is impressive and effective. Staff at the F&B outlets can benefit from more training on poise and service orientation.
Classical St Regis elements are well represented here - think big clandeliers, rhapsodic art and a generous splash of gold. The rooms are bright and spacious with the corner rooms being the comeliest. We are much in love with the ubiquitous celadon pieces gleaming all over the hotel.
