Pan Pacific Singapore
The tallest of the original trio that inaugurated Singapore's Marina dreamscape, the Pan Pacific Singapore underwent a major renovation in 2012 after close to 30 years in operation and emerged a resplendent old name with a revived reputation as one of Singapore's top hotels.
A score of exceptional restaurants makes this hotel a popular haunt of brunch-mad Singaporeans over weekends. Hai Tien Lo is still one of the best fine dining Chinese restaurants in the bay area whilst The Edge sets the stage for the ultimate Sunday Brunch each week with one of the most extensive and impressive spread in town.
Quite simply the pride of the home grown hospitality sector. The level of distinction exhibited by staff from the Pacific Club, sets the bar for exemplary Asian verve, geniality and competency.
Originally conceived as a business hotel, the rooms and open spaces were rather unimaginative. Since its refurbishment the hotel has lifted its design sensibilities and is emanating a more upmarket vibe, with a alluring pool injected with resort elements. We wish all the balconies could have been updated, or at least spruced up, during the renovations.
