The Westin Singapore is tucked away at Asia Square, occupying its top floors from level 32 where its light-drenched lobby is situated. In today's context this relatively new property is the quintessential luxury business hotel - high floors, corporate enclave, grand views.
Heavenly Spa by Westin, is cleverly conceptualised for one to take in the stunning sea views from the whirlpool. The massages are decent distraction from a day in the boardroom. Cook & Brew, the signature restaurant that promotes an 'enomatic' system of cooking, needs to go back to the drawing board and start over on how food should look and taste.
Check-in and all other general requests were capably handled and the service orientation of this property commensurate with its 5-star branding.
Beyond newness there are neither stardust nor surprises in its inherent construct. The rooms and amenities are well designed to suit modern sensibilities and we are particularly enraptured by the design of the junior suites that quite literally makes one feel on cloud nine. The bathrooms of some of the suites have stunning views of the sea that could be appreciated from the sumptuous tubs.
