Naked Stables

Moganshan

Bordering the heritage precinct of Hangzhou is the mountainous retreat of Moganshan where primordial woods meet with brooding skies.

Gourmet & Wellness + + +

The three FnB outlets operated by Naked Stables sum up all the dining options within the 5 km radius of this secluded location. Kikaboni serves French-African style haute cuisine (think mousses and pate with African flavours) while The Farmhouse specialises in rustic fares and sumptuous buffets featuring local farm produce. The Naked Leaf Spa is a whimsically raw and organic space that combines wellness with nature. Views of the surrounding forest from the treatment rooms are especially alluring.

Service + +

A messy and way-too-long check-in serviced by nonchalant front desk folks put a dampener on the arrival experience. Subsequently requests put through the phone from the villa were expediently attended to. Daily visitors jockeying for attention from staff present themselves as constant nuisance and annoyance to all hotel guests, sometimes venturing to the edge of your doorsteps demanding a peek inside!

Design + + +

On the lower levels of this stunning range stands the Naked Stables, an eco-conscious designer inn with just 121 rooms interspersed over the lush landscape. Options to revel in nature, chief of them horseback riding, abound at this verdant playground for well-heeled earth-huggers. The tree top villas perched at the peak with a patio jacuzzi come with the best views. Signature to the Naked Retreats brand, rooms here usually feature bathtubs that are set next to windows that open to breathtaking views.
