Ascott Malaysia celebrates in style in Oct 2023 as the premier hospitality group marked the opening of 2 new properties in capital Kuala Lumpur and UNESCO Heritage listed Penang.
Double Celebrations
The Ascott Limited (Ascott) officially launched Ascott Star KLCC Kuala Lumpur on 12 Oct 2023, bringing yet another Ascott property into the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. The newest serviced residence marks the brand's fourth operational property within Malaysia.
Set in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, Ascott Star KLCC rests along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, providing guests with easy access to and from the centermost part of the city. The 57-storey serviced apartment is surrounded by numerous high-rise buildings and contemporary skyscrapers such as the Petronas Twin Towers, Tun Razak Exchange Square and the Menara Kuala Lumpur.
Mr Mondi Mecja, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Malaysia, remarked: “Bringing forward a robust experience of world-class services in the hospitality industry, Ascott Star KLCC sees to further extend the operational excellence of the brand across the capital and thrive through greater heights within the industry. Be smitten with a stylish luxurious stay where the grandiosity of scale and opulence sets it apart among the industry.”
Adding to the celebrations also is the launch of the group's newest Crest Collection property within the UNESCO Heritage listed site of Georgetown in Penang. With its stately columns and grand arches, this colonial styled hotel is set to redefine the concept of luxury hospitality for the group by seamlessly blending heritage charm with contemporary elegance.
'The George Penang has 'since its inception been an iconic landmark, celebrated for its elegant architecture and distinctive location in the heart of George Town, Penang. Ascott Malaysia is proud to continue its legacy with the opening of our fifth property - The George Penang by The Crest Collection in Malaysia," said Mecja at the property's launch on 8 Oct 2023.
Featuring 92 rooms and suites, the property was first launched in 2022 as an independently run hotel before Ascott took over its operations as a rebranded entity this year.
